About Lauren Rotunno

Rooted in over eight years of dedicated practice and study, the lead teacher of our 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training brings a rich blend of embodied wisdom, subtle therapeutics, and yogic philosophy to each offering. Trained at Riffs Yoga Studios and later at Healing Hands School, she is a licensed Massage Therapist and 1000-hour Holistic Health Practitioner.

Her teaching is deeply shaped by the Tantric and Vedāntic tradition, through ongoing studies with Kaya Mindlin and the Supreme Release Yoga lineage. With an RYT 500 certification and a passion for the depth of yoga beyond postures, she guides students into stillness, insight, and the timeless heart of this sacred tradition.

SRY or Spinal Release Yoga is an accessible yet advanced approach to yoga: accessible because it’s gentle and highly adaptive, and advanced because it takes you directly towards yoga’s supreme purpose. Combining asana, pranayama, mantra, a vedic viewpoint and contemplation, ŚRY nourishes and releases tension in both the physical and subtle spine. You are profoundly nourished and supported in ways that allow blocked, hidden, and painful conditioning that traces back through your past is to give way. SRY practice and teachings are not about effort or striving, but about revelation. What is revealed is the pure nectar that is the Self of the self.

*SRY also is a play on words, pointing to the essence of the practice as nurturing, softening and awakening, as the Sanskrit Śrī is the name for the luminous, abundant feminine divine.
